I'm a programmer by trade that has recently ventured in the world of Cargo Bikes. So, I think it's fitting that I start with the Good Old "Hello World".

I'm hopeful to use this space as a way to educate and add to the experience a bike centric life in the USA as it's not always an easy one. After commuting into work by bike part time for roughly 3 years, I came to realize that I enjoyed my bike commutes more then my car commutes. This was eye opening, and came at a time that I wanted to have my young kids experience more time out in the world with me and a more bonding experience. This is when I found the world of Cargo Bikes.

There's not a lot of information out there on these special bikes, along with how one of these really fits into the experience of everyday life in car centric USA but the idea of having a bike that could replace a car felt so liberating to me that it felt important to do the plunge.

I'm going to try to record my experiences in hopes to help other prospective people and dads in particular to make the jump.

My cargo bike is the BMW of cargo bikes: the Riese + Mueller Load 75.
